Just Breathe

An IN PERSON Conscious Dance and Rest workshop designed for all self-identified Black, Indigenous, and People of Color

Saturday, September 20th, 2025 11am-5pm PST

WITH: Sara Crowell and special guest teachers

WHERE: Berkeley Unitarian Church, 1924 Cedar St. (at Bonita), Berkeley, CA 94709

REGISTRATION: Registration is required. We offer sliding scale from $88-$1008. For participants who are economically secure, we respectfully ask you to donate at the level you are able to join us, and support our teachers who have dedicated their lives to cultivating the skills and presence required for this work. Offer what makes you feel generous, rather than contracted, so as to support those who are experiencing financial hardship at this time. Thanks to Reverend Angel Kyodo Williams for this economic model.

WHAT: Time to gather for practice, for expression of our life force, and for collective care. Let’s breathe consciously to create room to fell aliveness in each movement moment.

This workshop is a call to allow and follow the breath, to cultivate our capacity to receive and release, to inhabit our bodies, to discover our sensory world, to liberate, to be with all that exists within and around you- the grief and the joy- the fierce and the tender.

Let our breath become audible and visible as it shapes through our movements, presence, mindfulness and rituals.

ACCESS INFORMATION: Street parking is free on Saturdays. Please arrive early if you need accessible parking, as spaces are very limited. The accessible entrance is located on Bonita Avenue. Please see our accessibility statement for more information.
